Linda Jean Kish was born in Cold Spring, New York, on December 23rd, 1966, to Paul and Judy Kish. Shortly after that, the family moved to Florida. During the next ten years, they lived in Homestead, Florida City, and right on the edge of the Everglades. Her childhood was always adventurous, and Linda developed a love for arts & crafts and storytelling. Linda and her three brothers moved back to Beacon, New York, where her grandparents resided when her parents separated.
Before moving to Waterbury, Connecticut, Linda attended elementary and junior high school in Beacon, New York. She finished junior high and then entered high school in Naugatuck, Connecticut. While attending high school, Linda also took many home courses that revolved around writing, art, and game development. She graduated from high school then moved on to Waterbury State Technical College in 1981. Determined not to put any financial strain on her mother, Linda worked full-time on Friday evenings and over weekends at National Semi-Conductor in Danbury, Connecticut. She went to school full-time during the weekdays. Linda majored in Electrical Engineering for the first year, then switched to Information Technology.
Upon college graduation, Linda was hired by a computer-aided manufacturing company and spent the next three years fixing software and installing mini-mainframes. In 1990, Linda switched to consulting for multiple companies in New England. Then, in 1994, she was hired as a senior software developer at Health New England in Springfield, Massachusetts. Within a year of starting the new job, Linda purchased her first home on the outskirts of Springfield near Wilbraham, Massachusetts.
Shortly after moving closer to her job, Linda started polishing the old longhand novels she had been writing since she was in her early teens. She added more details and included references from many of her former hometowns and her new one. In 2017, she was promoted from senior software developer to senior information technologist. Linda still works full-time for Health New England. However, she has decided to finally self-publish in her spare time with the now-foot-high stack of notebooks full of completed novels, partials, series, sketches, maps, and other assorted ideas. She also plans to create her own covers and extras using skills developed over many decades in art, graphic design, 3d modeling, animation, gaming, and more.
